NMN and Creatine: Can You Take Both in the Same Supplement Routine?

NMN and creatine are aimed at very different parts of the supplement market, but people interested in healthy ageing and strength increasingly use both.

What creatine does

Creatine helps replenish phosphocreatine, which supports rapid ATP regeneration during high-intensity muscular work. It has a large body of sports-nutrition research behind it and is commonly used alongside resistance training.

What NMN does

NMN is a precursor used in the body's NAD+ pathway. Human trials show that oral NMN can raise NAD-related metabolites, while many proposed longevity outcomes remain unproven.

Do they overlap?

Not in a simple way. Creatine is primarily used for training performance and muscle-related goals; NMN is being researched in cellular metabolism and healthy ageing. There is no strong evidence that taking both creates a special synergistic effect.

Can they be taken together?

There is no widely established interaction requiring the two to be separated in healthy adults, but direct combination trials are limited. People with kidney disease or other medical conditions should discuss supplement use with a clinician.

Build the foundation first

If preserving muscle as you age is the goal, resistance training, adequate protein and recovery matter more than an elaborate stack. NMN should sit on top of those fundamentals rather than replace them.

If you choose NMN, NMN Pure provides 500mg β-NMN from £7.99, while NMN Plus adds trans-resveratrol. Subscribe-and-save is available if you want a repeat monthly supply.
